NIC Chile announces approval of new policies for .CL
On Tuesday, September 27, 2011 the National Council for Domain Names and IP Numbers passed a resolution by which it recommends the adoption of the new regulations and Dispute Resolution Policy for domain names under .CL. These changes are intended to bring policies for .CL closer to the generally accepted practices in the industry of domain names worldwide.
NIC Chile welcomes the decision, which marks a milestone in the developmentof .CL and thanks the Council for the dedication and thoroughness they devoted to the study of this matter.
The changes will take effect when the testing the new system is finished and the transitional rules necessary for implementation and commissioning of the changes are ready. The schedule for this will be released to the community with sufficient and proper notice.
